When in doubt…throw it out. I wouldn't have eaten it even if it was in the freezer. Fridge freezers ain't deep freezes.

Oh, good — I was kinda worrying about that later on. I think you did the right thing, and you KNOW it's serious when me of all people advises trashing bacon!
