It’s supposed to look like Monet waterlilies. This is okay, but I think a second draft would come out better.

    That’s absolutely gorgeous!! What technique did you use on the top?

      That’s just colored sugar sprinkled artistically, with the water lilies piped over. I cut out stencils to mask where the lily pads would go.

        Sprinkled *very* artistically! It was instantly recognizable. What would you do different on the actual lilies? I like that they provide some dimensional element on the cake.

    Bigger/broader tip, so the petals look smoother? Do them so you’d look down at them, instead of at the side? The lilypads would have to be rounder for that, though.
